What is CleanTech?

Huge demographic, environmental and economic changes are influencing the political and social drive to find clean technology solutions –the global CleanTech market is predicted to expand to $1.3 trillion by 2020, up from $601bn in 2014 [1].

What does CleanTech mean for investors?

With the shift to clean technology, some traditional energies will naturally become obsolete – so-called ‘stranded assets’. But those businesses that are prepared to adapt could see significant growth potential. We think there are three particular areas of opportunity for companies, namely the low carbon economy, sustainable water management and resource optimisation solutions.
